At Black Dog Gallery we are pleased to use many of the 24 designs from John Carwitham’s 1739 publication Various Kinds of Floor Decorations represented both in Plano and Perspective. An English engraver, little is known about Carwitham other than his surviving works, which include views of Boston, MA and various English scenes as well as this book.
Either our own original designs or a custom sign designed just for you, our tavern signs are works of art. They are handmade, hand painted and expertly distressed giving them a truly weathered antique look.
